About this guide
Privacy at The Rail
The Rail asks readers for nothing and has no forms, accounts or email address. The two small choices it remembers, the theme and the chosen day on the home page tool, stay on the reader's own device.

What stays, and where
Two choices are remembered, and neither leaves the reader's device. The theme choice stays in the open browser tab. On the home page tool, the chosen day stays in the browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
There are no forms to fill in and no accounts to keep. The site has no email address either, so there is no inbox holding messages from readers. Leila Haddad presents the pages, but nothing about the people reading them is collected.
Where the links go
Links to casinos and help services are never paid. Casinos, poker rooms, AGLC, Play Alberta and help services never pay this site either. Only the home page carries paid links, marked Ad, and all three lead to the same online casino partner. The site earns a commission from them. That partner runs its own site under its own rules, and the partner can change.
Questions from the rail
Does The Rail know where a reader is?
The Rail has no forms and no accounts, and nothing is sent anywhere. Only the theme and the chosen day are kept, in the reader's own browser.
How can the theme choice be reset?
Closing the tab resets it. The theme choice stays only in the open browser tab, so it is gone once that tab is closed.
